It is with these realizations in mind that Kav Halacha emerged onto the scene – to ensure that every shailah is addressed by a world-class posek who delivers a world-class psak.

In just ten years, Kav Halacha has grown from a local community resource to a 24-hour-a-day international powerhouse with a network of over 100 rabbonim capable of responding to over 200,000 annual shailos in every area of halacha. Our rabbonim are spread over 5 continents and 7 time zones, and along with rabbinic coordinators, have the right people in place to answer every shailah.

 

Our Cutting-Edge Phone Line System

Kav Halacha uses customized technology to efficiently connect your questions to our impressive international network of experienced, caring, and knowledgeable poskim, who specialize in every imaginable area of halacha.

We calculate the precise number of rabbonim needed at any given time for each region. Even during peak call times (such as Erev Pesach or before a fast day), we make sure that there are always enough rabbonim available. When you reach out through any of the Kav Halacha regional phone numbers, the system directs your call to a rav who is on call. If multiple rabbonim are on call, it will ring simultaneously by each of them. Since the rabbonim graciously set aside time for Kav Halacha, calls are usually picked up as they come in.

If for whatever reason one rav is unable to take the call, it is then directed to other rabbonim, whether in the same or a different region, until the shailah is answered. This innovative and highly effective approach is in use 24 hours a day.

Kav Halacha works in partnership with leading organizations and experts in various halachic areas to answer specialized shailos – including a dedicated line for the Sephardic community, a Choshen Mishpat line with Dayanim, a Kashrus line coordinated with major Kashrus organizations, an end-of-life and medical halachic crisis line with Chayim Aruchim, and more.
