of the gedolei haposkim, Kav Halacha is a halacha hotline, a Bais Horaah, that began as a vital source for English speakers living in Eretz Yisrael, and now services Klal Yisreoel around the world.
Initially the Kav Halacha was founded to fill the void of kollel families, bochurim, seminary girls, those on vacation, or those who had moved to Israel permanently – but were having a hard time finding an ear to answer their important shailos in English. As the word spread and people moved, calls from the USA and Europe increased and Kav Halacha rose to the challenge by adding Rabbonim from different time zones to answer 24 hours a day.
As the demand grew, Kav Halacha expanded and instituted a custom system with dedicated lines to route shailos from each country first to Rabbonim from their communities, backed up by the international network around the clock.
With Rabbonim answering from Eretz Yisroel, Lakewood, New York, Los Angeles, London, Melbourne and Johannesburg, Kav Halacha provides a 24 hour solution to timely shailos.
With the involvement of senior poskim and beki’im on specific topics of halacha, Kav Halacha has developed into a resource for it’s Rabbonim as well.

started with just a few hours of availability per day, and when it became clear from the call volume just how necessary this service was, grew to include Rabbonim answering shailos around the clock, .
Today, Kav Halacha receives over 1,000 calls per week and has Poskim available at any time of the day or night, ready to pasken shailos. The convenience and accessibility of Kav Halacha, combined with the anonymous nature of the hotline – allowing for comfort in asking even uncomfortable shailos, has attracted callers from all over the world.
